Cricket’s Stream More feature helps you use less of your data bucket.
That’s right, Cricket is giving you a new way to play more, surf more and watch more—helping your data bucket go further on your current wireless plan. Say hello to Stream More.
Here’s how it works:
- The free Stream More feature lets you watch certain higher-definition video at standard definition quality, similar to DVD quality.
- If you have one of our data plans starting at just $30 a month, you can now watch more videos while draining your data bucket less. Don’t forget that we recently increased the data on two of our most popular plans. This feature will now help stretch that data even further!
- There’s no charge for the service, and you can turn it off and on at any time. Once the Stream More feature is available on your phone, you’ll be able to change your settings from your MyAccount or MyCricket app.
- Stream More works on any device that can stream video in the U.S. and when you are roaming internationally in Mexico and Canada.
The Stream More feature will automatically be available on your phone over the next few months, so look out for text messages from us. We’ll alert you when it’s turned on. It’s just one more way we are giving you a better network and video experience without you having to do a thing.
This feature is part of our overall effort to evolve our wireless network so that customers have an enhanced network experience now and in the future.
In the coming months, we will be introducing a number of new features.
As a Cricket customer, you have long been able to talk and surf the Web simultaneously. Soon, we’ll be adding Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology, which means eventually you could make calls in high-definition (called HD voice). Basically it enables crystal clear calling. If you’re a techy and want to know how this is possible – well, the technology uses a larger frequency, strips out excess information and squeezes more soundwaves into a single channel.
In addition, we plan to make Wi-Fi calling available this year. This means when you’re in an area where the wireless signal is hard to get, you can make calls using the Wi-Fi network instead.
Bottom line, we’re working hard to give our customers the latest and greatest technology innovations.Stay tuned for more info as we get closer to launching these enhancements!
