We are ready for Hurricane Nate with an array of disaster response equipment and personnel on standby.

We’ve started the storm preparedness process as we closely monitor Hurricane Nate. Over the next few days, the storm is expected to impact the Gulf Coast from Morgan City to the Alabama/Mississippi coast, including the metro New Orleans area. Preparation includes topping off fuel generators, testing high-capacity back-up batteries at cell sites and protecting physical facilities against flooding.

Network redundancy has been improved in storm-prone areas, which includes the installation of more generators at critical cell towers and switching facilities, and movement of electronics essential to network operations above expected flood levels.

Cricket store locations in New Orleans will close early today in preparation for the storm and others along the storm’s path are watching conditions and will adjust hours as needed.

Stay safe and check here for preparation and safety tips.
